RKI Single Gas Monitors are devices small enough to be either carried, or worn on a belt or harness, when an employee enters a hazardous or potentially hazardous environment. They are ideal for use in areas where hazardous substances may be present and employees may need to work. Example applications include hazmat response, oil and gas work, environmental cleanup, confined spaces, and toxic gas monitoring.
There are many types of portable monitors available in single-gas (or multiple-gas) configurations. Single-gas monitors are portable instruments used to detect a single, specific gas. Examples include ammonia (NH3), arsine (ASH3), carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2), chlorine (CL2), flammability (LEL), hydrogen cyanide (HCN), hydrogen sulfide (H2S), formaldehyde (HCHO), oxygen O2, phosphine (PH3), sulfur dioxide (SO2), and many other gases.
Please note many multi-gas monitors can also be configured to detect a single gas.
